A Guinea pig or a rabbit? **The decision is made!!! Update post #44

Actually, both toilet-train fairly naturally. They pick a spot/corner and that is where they potty. Both also need out of cage time and human interaction

She is just like me, we have both researched the heck out of them and she can't decide which she wants more. One day it's a rabbit and the next it's a guinea pig. But it is a good idea that since my husband wants a rabbit too we should go with the one person who can decide and if she does good and still wants a guinea pig in a few months she can pick one out and we can get it for her. Thank you to everyone for the great advice and opinions

Y'all have really helped a lot in this crazy decision

The decision is made!!! Our landlord/ neighbor is giving her a Maltese puppy in 3 weeks when they are ready

It wasn't my idea at all and my husband just about flipped out. It is a female and he had been talking about looking for a companion for her so he is slowly starting to get used to the idea and so am I. I love my neighbors but dang it I had a hard enough time potty training my daughter

That's why I like cats, show them the box or the doggy door and they know where to do their business in less than a day.

oh debi why did you have to tell me that! She is sneaky and funny enough without a dog to add to her antics and sillyness. She is super excited though so I can't be to upset. She gets a pet that she can play with and that doesn't just lay around like her cat or only likes her when she has treats like the chickens and ducks, lol

They are stealth because they are small. Micro ate an entire stick of butter last night - I caught him licking the wrapper. He promptly barfed it up too.

Chunk, our chocolate lab, ate an entire box of butter (the 4 in a box thing) that was softening on the counter. She at the wrappers and all. We did not know she even did it until we found the box shoved in a corner by her bed. Big dogs can be stealthy too. She has also raided our pantry and ate a pound of chocolate chips. She must have a pretty strong stomach because she did not throw up either time.
