A Guinea pig or a rabbit? **The decision is made!!! Update post #44

Yep I lean towards rabbits. But really do stay away from angoras unless you plan on pulling and selling, or spinning the wool. They are work that a child won;t keep up with. I am not sure what my next breed is going to be: lionhead, netherland dwarfs or minim holland lops.

Netherlands have kind of a smushy face and the lops have the ears that hang down, and they are mini breeds so cuddly.

Flemish giants are expensive. They area popular show breed and finding pet quality is a bit tough.

Rabbits are quiet, guinea pigs are not.

Rabbits can be litterbox trained, no idea about guinea pigs.

Either can be shown.

I don't have guinea pigs, but I have rabbits. Therefore I am totally biased.

I have had guinea pigs and they are just not full of the personalities that bunnies are. I have one that is so laid back it ain't even funny, one that is a just a wild boy and a jr doe that is a pistol.

If you decide to go with a rabbit, look into Jersey Woolies! I had one for awhile and he was the sweetest thing I could ask for. Very cuddly and extremely friendly. Also, they are more
pocket sized" than other rabbits!

Evil, bad friends! Ok so now fist thing in the morning I am going to have to look and see what is available in rabbits in my area. I'm sure I won't have a ton of options but if I can find even one as cute at the ones I have seen and wolf and nella keep showing me, I am probably going to get one for my daughter... and one for me and another for my husband

Oh I always wanted to be an evil friend! Really! LOL

You're looking for Lionheads! Maybe try the 4-H in your area. If you're going to do this you might as well buy show or breeding quality if you're going to get 3. LOL

Rabbits multiple even before breeding them if you let them. hehehehe
