Red blinked a couple times, trying to keep himself from either dozing off or passing out again. He shook his head lightly, then waited for the ringing in his ears to stop before he said anything. "It's fine," he murmured, his voice just barely louder than a whisper.

Jade winced and rolled her eyes. "Hey Rocket," she whispered, but was still audible to all of the canines within ten paces of her. She stood there, like a deer in the headlights, then sat down casually and acted in a totally not sneaky way. Her pelt, (obviously a coyote pelt) was speckled with snow, and she blinked some out of her eyes.

Slate sped up, matching his speed with Kestrel's, and swam along side him. Because that's what bros do. They do everything side by side. And look like bosses while they do it.

Kestrel glanced to the side at Slate, he felt the top layer of slush on the water pushing against his throat as he swam forward.

Slate pushed upward with his back legs, propelling himself a couple inches above the water and giving his face a brief reprieve from the icy flow. Too late he realized that he had accidentally splashed Kestrel across the front of his nose.

Kestrel growled, he swam faster, halfway in front of Slate and let his back legs touch the bottom like he was standing. When he felt the tumbled rocks under his feet, he jumped up and bit at Slate's tail.

Slate yelped. "OW!" He squealed indignantly. Even though he realistically couldn't have enough energy to swim faster, he did, and was the first dog to reach the shore.
He turned around


And didn't splash Kestrel like he wanted to, cuz Eon was right behind him.
