"As you all know," he snarled, pacing across the ridge of the Reign Rock and turning back around to repeat his pawsteps, "we will be attacking Canyon Pack tomorrow at dawn." Suddenly, he stopped his pacing and faced his pack with a mock innocent face. "Because we wouldn't want to interrupt their precious Star Howl, now would we?"~

Dusk looked at Dark Storm, terrified. She had to go warn Cliff, and began trotting out of camp towards the border, hoping he would be there. She looked across the border looking wildly for Cliff, hoping no one had followed her.

"What we'll do is," he began in a barely audible snarl, "we'll surround them behind their beach while they are Howling. Then we'll begin Howling, and it's sure to resound like they are surrounded." He ran his tongue over his dry lips that longed for refreshing blood. "I don't know exactly how it'll turn out, but it's one way to frighten them out of their pelts." His voice suddenly erupted into a maniacal howl. "And defy Pack Law."~

Opal nodded, her ears high above her head in joy, and yipped "I'll race you!" Within a second of saying that, she bolted off, heading for the stream as fast as her nimble form could take her, soon diving in the water.

Flint splashed into the creek just behind Opal, his tail wagging furiously, and his eyes brighter than they'd been in a long time. He reared and smacked her ear with his paw playfully.

Antler tensed, furious with excitement. He shivered wildly with anticipation, his tail wagging and his jaws parted in a growing snarl. Hr glanced at Eon ad his malevolent excitement was abruptly dimmed. "That should be me" he growled silently. "Don't get distracted" he snapped at himself, an he shoved the thought away, taking up his maniacal snarling once again.

Flint splashed into the creek just behind Opal, his tail wagging furiously, and his eyes brighter than they'd been in a long time. He reared and smacked her ear with his paw playfully.

Opal yipped happily, and drew all her strength from her leg muscles to leap upwards and pounce on Flint. She giggled as he fell down in the water.
