Coal watched as Rip-tide and West fought. The scene seemed to happen through a misty haze, as if in slow motion.
The mist disappeared.
The bloody fight snapped back into a regular pace.
And Killdeer slammed into Coal's shoulder.
With a snarl of angry suprise, Coal spun around, catching Killdeer withher massive paw and pinning her. Killdeer stared up at Coal's ugly snarl, fear glistening in her eyes for a few heartbeats. The coyotes lips parted, revealing sharp white teeth. "Bring it" she snapped, knowing the crazed wolf dog was going to kill her. "You probably won't remember this by the time the battle's over anyways"
Coal lunged.
Killdeer yelped. A sudden blast of fear scent filled the air for a breif moment before it disappeared abruptly.
Coal stepped away from the young coyotes body and looked around for her next opponent.
