Well Ruth I am of the opinion that with the rain comes blessings. You have been blessed with a new baby girl. I was so glad to read this post, I have been keeping that little pup in my prayers since you first wrote about her. Glad she is home.

way awesome. just like God to send you a little pup who you could've turned away, but will probably be a HUGE blessing.

do it unto the least of these...these little ones....

that includes the little dogs, according to the Word!

btw, Monique, i have a toy fox pinscher....(a new foo-foo mix) that someone bred, but he wasn't 'perfect' so they turned him out. he is a RIOT. he barks at the chickens, but more when they get out of where they belong to notify me to come get them.

God bless little Prissy. may her health be amazing, may her personality be charming and may your home be blessed for housing her.

She's got a miniture pinch attitude to boot!

My friend had one and she would bark and snarl and growl constantly! Then you'd get in the house and after she circled you 10 times she'd be in your lap wimpering.

They will bond with you and your other animals and be VERY protective. If you don't find her owners, she's not a bad dog to have.

We had this same type of thing happen except it was a chocolate lab and a black lab. DH gave the black one away to family, wish we'd have kept him he was a true gentleman, the other one is a handful. But anyways they weren't perfect so someone dropped of the whole litter during Christmas weekend. At least they didn't kill them though like they used to.

Thank you all so much for the kind words, blessings and prayers. Miss Jayne I used that same scripture "whatsoever you do unto these least of these...." last night when we found her. I told my husband I truly believe it includes how we treat animals.

Prissy is really settling in. She slept with me last night. When I brought her upstairs my husband said to her, outloud so I could hear "Before she asks, I draw the line at animals sleeping in the bed with me." So... I told her, outloud, so he could hear, "Then tell him to draw it down his side of the bed."

Today we bought her her own bed, jeweled red collar, and toys. She has really taken to my husband and follows him around and cries if he leaves the room. Funny because he doesn't pay much if any attention to any of the pets - that's all my job but I keep having to give her medicine or doctor a wound or pull off a tick and each time she runs from me for awhile afterwards and gives me dirty looks and runs to him. Today I shared my lunch with her, from my plate (something I never do) and she loves me again.

Here's some current pics. In the first one you can see how skinny she is. In the next two, it's her and Scarlett on the sofa on the sun porch.

While I'm trying to type this, hubby is outside blowing his truck horn. I look over balcony and he holds up Prissy and said "She had to come ride with me." He's just going to take the trash cans around house and pick up the bags of feed we just bought but took her for the short ride. I'm thinking they are a good match. Maybe she can win him over.
