A labor of Love (finally a few pics)

We have finally completed our hen house to go with our run. I am 47 and this is the first thing I have ever built in my life that did not have a motor in it.

I will have to give credit to a very nice family who posted their plans and pics on a website they call "the chicken project". I used this basic design and adapted it somewhat because it seemed to fit our needs very well.

All I have left to do is build some nesting boxes but our one hen will not lay in a box and the 4 chicks are at least 2 months away from laying. I will get this done in a few days.

PS: the landscaping around it makes it very unique. You may find that the shavings from the coop will fall out the "people door". But you've given me ideas for my coop!
