Whoooo hoooo I hatched a little black showgirl out this morning.. (well really she hatched herself)!! From my trueblueshowgirl eggs. (She is under the styrofoam part so no pics). [IMG]

There are still 5 showgirl eggs that developed, but nary a pip. How long do I wait on them? There are also about 8 cochin eggs in there, but nary pip from them either. All of these eggs were due yesterday on the 12th.

If the temps were a bit low, I'd give them up to 72 hours after due day to hatch. Congrats on the one chick!

Quote:Well I ran the temp between 102 and 103 this time, but it's an LG still air so who knows. Good info. Any thing else I should be doing for them?

When I get her out of the incubator you can be sure I'll post pics! I tried taking some with my phone while it was in there, but you can't see much.

    Showgirls are cute.

I have to say, baby turkeys are not. Well, maybe they are so ugly they are cute!

Sort of like a little vulture or something. But still, cute! In a pitiful kind of way.[IMG]
