I had one chick hatching at 9 am 15 hours after pip. After a few hours when it dried up I took it out of the bator since he was really active rolling the other eggs around. Two more had piped. They hatched at 2 pm, also active. I have taken them out of the bator and they are doing fine. Six more eggs piped between 10 and 12 am.
When I took the chicks out my husband helped me and the temp didn't change at all and humidity dripped 2% but not below 70%.
The bator is getting very quiet. If I talk a long time with them I have an answer from one chick but it takes a while.
Is it normal that they become quiet during long periods during hatching?

Yes, that is normal. It is hard work for those little babies to get out of the shell. They have to rest quite often and that is why it takes so long for them to hatch. Good luck.

One more was born late just night and I had three more in the bator at six o'clock this morning. Seven babies in a total so far
