A long, disapointing weekend. but looking foward to Spring!

OK I just candled the egg. I don't have a very bright light (I used the lamp that is over the bator) and all I can really see is it's really dark and the air sack is really big(not too big.) I couldn't really hear any piping sound when i put it up to my ear but I didn't do it for very long, since temp. in the bator was dropping a bit. But when i put the egg back in, it started wiggling quite a bit! what does this mean?

If you see it wiggling then just be patient....I know it's hard!
Do you have some ventilation holes in the 'bator for airflow?

Yes, I have three. all of them are open and sometimes I lift the lid of the bator a bit and then close it, so the chick can get some good fresh oxygen.

You are doing all you can possibly do, just hang in there, the little guy/gal is doing their thing wiggling and trying to get around to where they need to be to start pipping. Yes you do need to minimize the touching and handling if at all possible, but you do need to check if your days are over into day 23. That could be because of the temp fluctuations. I read that if the bator temp is low, it will take longer and vice-a-versa if temp is high they can come out earlier than expected. God is the only one that really knows when the little dude will pop out. Patience is a virtue that I have not fully acquired
