I pick him up and hug him in front of the girls! He hangs his head in shame!

I allow Little Joe to go free but the girls avoid him

Poor Little Joe. I've ruined his reputation.

Can I ask a JG question since you obviously know the breed? How long until your girls were fully developed? Mine is 21 weeks but as you can see her face has a ways to go and she's big, but not super big yet. She did lay her first egg last night though, so that's nice.

Little Joe and his siblings came from Cackle Hatchery March 25, 2011. The pullets seem to develop slowly like the males, and each hen seems to be approaching POL at their own rate.

Cardboard Chicken is getting close while Morse Code is taking her sweet little time.
