Livia shot up in bed groggily, remembering that she had hit the snooze button more than once. She'd be late for school!she lumped out of bed and dressed quickly in her usual black sweatshirt and skinny jeans. She ran to her bathroom, grabbed her brush and tried to brush her tangled hair. Her eyes widened when she looked in the mirror. This couldn't be real. What was happening? She wasn't sure. But she knew she was going to miss her bus if she didn't hurry up. She brushed the rest of her chocolate-brown curls then grabbed a hat from her bedroom that matched her outfit. It was black and had blue flowers:

She grabbed her back pack, slung it over one shoulder and raced out the door to her bus stop.

Liv made it to the bus stop with a few minutes to spare. She shifted her backpack on her shoulder, taking deep breaths to calm her breathing. He bus stop wasn't that close to her house, so she had run quite a ways, and her heart beat was thudding in her chest from the run. She pulled her hat down farther over her head to further cover her ears.

Layla opened her car door and ran in the building of school. her first class was biology which was her favorite.
