So we adopted a little girl from a lady who couldnt take care of her anymore. She is really sweet and follows you around everywhere. Plus side, she is a great watchdog!!! I was wondering of anyone knew what breed she is??? The lady's daughter wasnt a dog person and didnt know. Any guesses?

Poodle or poodle mix - Spaniel/poodle - Imagine if you cut all the hair off the dogs head - would it be really flat and almost in line with it's snout? If so - probably poodle - mixes usually have a bit of a bump/rounded top to the head - poodles, there's a reason they leave that puff on top. I used to do a lot of dog rescue and the first time I got a standard poodle - it had been evenly shaved all over - I never realized they have a flat head - it's really funny.
They need to be socilized well - especially if you might have kids coming around at any time. Walk through outdoor - um....strip malls where you can see how she reacts to other people - races, ages, heights - anything like that and you'll know that you'll need to work on that. They don;t shed, so you will need to get her clipped - no matter if she is a poodle or a mix. You can let her get long and shaggy and just trim around the important areas!!!!! or keep her trimmed with all the fluffy parts left - they are there to keep the joints warm. If you live somewhere warm and she will be outdoors - keep her clipped. You can buy some average ones off ebay/craigslist etc, you only need a medium set if she is small - which she looks. If you don;t live in a big city - it wont cost as much to keep her wool & nails trimmed - and the best things are you get a pet you love - that doesn't drop hair everywhere - think of the time saving in sweeping! I had English Bulldogs and they shed like a leaky tap.

Could there be some Beddlington terrier in there, something about the shape of the ears and the colour? Whatever she is she is gorgeous!
