A new Hobby Soap making Love it

It takes lye to make any Soap. I can't go back to store bought after using what I make and use mine for Hair washing too and I don't like using shampoo any more. I am spoiled.

Needs to use a good bar with a high superfat and see how much better it is!!

I have long hair too with color and I use my standard recipe of OO. CO, PO and Castor oil and shea butter. I don't use cream rinse either.

I was curious about using it for shampoo. My hair is very long and I have to use ALOT of conditioner on a good day. Didn't know how you would tweak it to make it a shampoo bar or how it would work. May have to try it one day when I have plenty of time to comb it out.

Joy told me that was what she used and i was skeptical at first since I do have color on my hair. I was buying a very expensive shampoo at my Hair Salon. I tried the soap and my husband did too. We both use it now and my Friend Imogene started using it and she says she is not going to use shampoo anymore. I have read about Shampoo bars but this is working great for me so I will problably just stick with it. I just use Chamomille for my face.

I cannot use CP soap on my hair. Does terrible things to it. Oily roots, tangled dry ends. Now my husband can use it though and it makes his hair soft and clean. I make a syndet shampoo bar and I am really happy with it, works well on my ds hair too.

OK Here is the pic that a friend of a friend took yesterday. This is the one that hit the town of Vilonia and pretty much demolished it

Now here is a pic of one of the bars that had white streaks in it. I have since cut the slab and lots of the bars have these streaks, not lye heavy and streaks are the same firmness/consistency as the rest of the bar

Here is the loaf I made sunday evening. I messed up the swirl when I forgot the scent. STUPID!! and so mixed it all together and added the remaining pink ontop and added a textured swirl. You cant really see the color in the top but it is a pale pink on a light grey. The texture is pretty even if the design isnt.
