I just use cheap napkins... I also include a damp cloth for humidity in the warmer months

so far I've been very happy with the shipping results... but maybe we've just gotten lucky.. I've only done it a few times.

Really, I think the egg carton shipping is the way to go. As far as the other material, I don't think it matters that much. I prefer paper, cotton, and other organic types. Bubble wrap is ok, and has been used successfully for a long time. I don't think there is any one, "right way!"

I just sent 2 dozen eggs to California. I used two different methods. She said they all arrived fine and none were broken.

I used bubble wrap on 12 and I used felt to wrap the other 12 in. Then I used shredded paper to pack the box and secure the cartons. So, I'll see how her hatch goes.
