These are not the monastery's birds; they are Birch Run Farms. So all the credit belongs to her, the 'handler'.
Maybe she will want to add to my comments..........or correct some things.
I hope you all enjoy.
Claudia, her Royal Palm Turkey, and Clark, the Tom, go about with their little ONE baby. You will see that Clark is just a bit ostentatious. And boy, can he gobble!
This little raisin with feathers is Claudia and Clark's baby. She hatched him/her. And it's a chicken. Kind of cute, eh?
This is one of her Red Star Pullets. I just think a pretty pic, if you think hens are pretty........
I am not sure what this is, maybe one of her Auracanas??
And here is a facial close up of the same boid
I like these two resting together...........I love the feather colors of the bird on left
I include this pic--not the best, I grant--of her drake, Dufuss (a fine looking yearling, Black--not Wild Type--Muscovy) and one of his babes, whom I call Black Beauty. These two birds are the mommy and daddy of the scovies we have here!!! Black Beauty is sweet; and I am proud of little Dufuss. You see here that he is in what BRF calls his BMU--behavior modification unit! When he gets a bit too hormonal and terrorizes Clark and the other birds of the place, he gets a few days in solitary!!!
Now the Fourth of July wouldn't be complete now would it, without.......
The American Flag himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
needs a shave, wouldn't you say?
That's all folks. And three cheers for Birch Run Farm--and especially for Dufuss and Black Beauty!!!
Happy Fourth everyone
