I choose root canal today. My hubby was sick (ended up in the hospital but they found nothing

) and I went to work all day, came up spent the evenings with him. etc. Let the house get a little messy. This was 1 1/2 weeks ago. Now I've had a nasty cold/ bronchitis thing since last Friday. I've still been going to work while hubby has been home using up some vacation days he was going to lose. Plus being a federal employee he had Columbus Day off

No biggie - he works hard and had been on the road for 5 weeks before he got sick.

All I wanted to do today was sleep in since I had the day off. I took Nyquil at 2:30 am since I couldn't stop coughing. When the alarm goes off at 5:15 am I got up and made his coffee and then came back to bed and he had the nerve to say "Why are you going back to bed - you have to get up and let the dogs out and clean house today anyway." ARGGGGGGGGG ITS 5AM. I want to sleep off the Nyquil.

Sorry for the rant but I feel much better now.

I'm debating whether he will get dinner on time tonight...

I wouldn't like dh being sick because I am the type to fret over complications, but I would chose illness over a root canal. I think root canals are bad.

Now if the choice was illness of dh and a pulled tooth I would pull the tooth.

My dad does that. After 40 years of marriage I am surprised my mom hasn't been jailed for homicide.

My DH is moderately whiny when ill compared to some others. Considering the only root canal I've had involved novocaine not working very well, I'll opt for the sick hubby.

Heck no! If they don't like to listen to their nagging wives they can take their sick butts to work. I don't know a single nagging wife, just sayin'.

My eldest sister was married to a very demanding, verbally abusive man. I spent the summers with them in my teens. Once I was asleep on the couch when he came home after a night of drinking and woke my sister (and me) up demanding his breakfast. Sister got up and did as he said. When she put the plate of food in front of him he complained that the eggs weren't scrambled right. She picked the plate up, dumped it on his head and asked him if he liked the eggs better that way. She filed for divorce the next day.

Gritty loves her man, but hey we all need to vent sometimes. And none of us have to be fair 'cause we aren't running for nothing!!

I did get quite concerned about hubby last night when his symptoms took a turn for the worse. I had to stop him when he wanted to take nyquil, sudafed and afrin all at the same time. Today he's still home but on the mend.
Tonight I have to stay up all night in preparation for a medical test tomorrow. Then it will be his turn to take care of me.
