My hubby is not the "baby" type. He doesn't let being sick get him down. He's amazing.

My hubby is a whiney baby too when sick...

Why are so many men that way?

With that being said..i voted to have him home... only cause i like him today. Ask me tomorrow and i'll say give HIM a root canal...

OOh but then he'd be a whiney baby again...

never mind.. ...

When my husband is really sick, he just sleeps. I have to force him to drink or eat anything.

He hasn't been sick in years though... Cuz' I take such good care of him!!

ok, from a guys perspective...... I am rarely sick.. but when I am, if I can make it to work I do.. If I tell my wife I am sick and I need space I get it.

I think when I caught the swine flu they realized I wasn't faking it. 2 weeks on my back sick... an another week afterwords fighting bronchitis/pnemonia. Byc kept me sane while I kept the mods busy/mad at me (boredom and cabin fever) .....

Finally my fever broke, and after 3 weeks left the bedroom. My wife still thinks I am a baby when I'm sick

lol.. She says I'm sick, even if I'm not but that's another story.

Yeah, since then the wife and daughters baby me when I tell them I am sick though. I must say.. I think it's self preservation in how they make sure I don't have to leave the room when I catch something though.. I doubt it's the goodness of their hearts.... cuz when I'm sick, who's tossing them the chocolates?

I chose root canal. I had one years ago and fell asleep during it. It wasn't bad at all.

My DH is the biggest baby when he "thinks" he's sick. He stays home for every little cold, cough, headache and upset tummy. Then he just gets in my way playing loud video games, making a mess in the kitchen and asking me to get him things. I get nothing done on the days he's sick!

Do I get any sympathy when I'm sick? NO! When I had swine flu and was laid out on the couch with a fever, cough, vomiting and generally felt like death warmed over, I still had to take care of our 3 year old all day and DH comes home from work and asks if I was fixing supper.

Of course, when he got it, he pampered himself for 3 weeks.

Well hubby is not too bad when he is sick, he wants to be left alone. However with a simple cold, sniff, sniff, SNIIIIIFFFF! For for Gawd's sakes, BLOW your nose! Then he would take a tissue, dabbed his nose and then SNIFFFFFFFFFF again!
somad.gif
Or if he is outside, he would do the "farmer's blow" Disgusting!

When he is in pain, muscle pulled or simple little thing, yep, a big baby about it. As for me I got fibro, that's something day in and day out in PAIN and I'm not complaining much because there isn't much I can do for it, treatment wise unless I get the full body massages which would be $100 a visit. Ugh!

If I got painkillers, I would take a root canal and be blissfully out. However I got a seven year old daughter who is ADD, that would be like pulling teeth in all directions when you are very very ill.

my DH was recently home sick and he's funny - it's never a cold, it's always a secret bioweapon that was released by some government person on a subway.

I have to keep bellowing "it's a *&$*&($*&$ COLD!".. Hee hee. That said, I prefer him home sick - then I can go to work and he can keep an eye on the chickens for me.

Of course, then he leaves ME with the cold (like I have now).. cough cough..
