She did well, they say she’s in excellent health besides the obvious. Back home now, suture comes out tomorrow. They also gave her a chorionic gonadotropin injection to stop egg production temporarily

And he’s absolutely going to lose it when I bring home eggs from Publix because I paid to have my hen turned “off”…

An update:
She was still slightly prolapsing after the vet removed her stitch on Wednesday. Eight days after the prolapse, her vent is finally where it should be

Now the issue is the twice daily Baytril dose to a perfectly healthy pissed off hen who no longer squats for me and is hard as heck to catch. This might be the end of our friendship by the end of the week’s treatment…
