A productive day for everyone!

What a wonderful way to remember spending time with your mom! It's definitely a skill that needs to be passed on more than it has been.

I do think of her when I do it which makes it a true labor of love. I agree about passing it down; at 37 I'm the only person in my social circle who knows how! :( About two years ago I offered to help everyone through a batch of jam, just bring your own fruit and jars but nobody was interested :confused:

I believe it, same thing here. People would want to pay me to make jams or whatever after I'd given them as gifts and I offered to teach them how instead but no...their loss I suppose.
 
I make Blackberry, Black Raspberry, and Cherry jelly from my orchard. I love to preserve food. Nothing makes me more excited than to hear the pop pop pop of the can lids! :) No peaches for us this year, it was frozen until May!:hit My apples look great and the pears too.

Ooh! I forgot about pears! I'm going to try doing those this year!
