A pullet egg this big??? DANG!

I had more jumbo and double yolker eggs when my standards were pullets than after they had been laying for awhile. You don't get all small eggs from pullets. One of my EE laid all jumbo sized eggs and half double yolkers for the first 3 months of laying and a year later it's rare to get one above US standard large size.

So i hear all the time about birds laying double/triple yokers on here

how come we don't get any at the grocery store?

...I swear its gotta be yur sexlink...

I have a red star sexlink/comet type and she lays eggs so big I can't close the carton....and it's labeled for jumbo eggs...

sexlinks are over achievers......

It must just be the day for them! I had one that was over 3" long and over 3oz! My hens just started laying too!

I like the way you took the picture in the carton. I'm going to go and take another one of mine like that! You can get a little postal scale or diet scale inexpensively. I weigh mine, the ones that are obviously large, just for fun!

The huge one I had today might have been from an Australorp. That's the only breed of mine that matches yours. The rest of mine are Rhodies, and Americaunas
