Good point, i dont know.Do some cayuga have bills that aren't black?
My cayuga had a black/dark olive bill. I'm absolutely not an expert on breeds though. They are sure cute ducks!Good point, i dont know.
Really? Are you sure they aren’t just being replaced with new abandoned ducks once they die? They won't die. People feed them. They have a surprising amount of survival skills. Ducks at parks in my area live for years.
I think drakes can have a more yellow bill. I only have a hen and she has an olive billDo some cayuga have bills that aren't black?
I don’t think so I have a lot of welsh harlequins none look like thatI don't think your "cross 1" is a cross. Looks like a Welsh harlequin
I agree with you that to be safest for humans it is best to inquire before interfering - but I believe that these ducks are abandoned domestic animals. Wildlife is something else. This looks to be a real, official park - if you're concerned about the ducks, find the agency in charge of the park and have a chat. Please be aware though, if it is county/city/state owned land, it could be a crime to interfere with wildlife.
