Hello All, Long time no see! I fell off the map awhile back while we farm hunted and worked and stuff... sold the birds but am now back at it. Chicken math has already started... once we found a place I got itchy, and our new place had to go through an extensive remodel which took WAY longer than we thought it would. (Found it in November last year, just moved in September!) Back in June I bought 5 chicks and 4 polts, thinking we'd be in soon. LOL

We built a mobile coop on a trailer frame, got that into position and we're putting the finishing touches on it.

Next Spring we'll have a trio of Bourbon Red turkeys to hatch from, I was gifted 38 mixed breed eggs as a house warming gift, they only have 14 days to go.

We added two more piglets, so now we have a purebred male Juliana pig and two 75% females.

Lost two dogs to old age, gorgeous Ricca and tiny Nugget. Logan the German Shepherd is helping us raise two Shepherds, Eden (1/8th Wolf) who is 5 months old, and Ginger who is 14 weeks old. They have the makings and the temperament to be fantastic guard/farm dogs.

Of course there's pictures....

Logan, 8 years old, Eden, 5 months old, Ginger, 14 weeks old.

Logan and Priscilla (She's 2 years old)

New piglets! Felicia the striped one is 11 weeks old, the tiny unnamed male is 6 weeks old. He's slightly smaller than an adult Guinea Pig.

He's very much a snuggler.

Will need to get pictures of the birds and the coop and upcoming projects and stuff. It's good to be situated again and building up a proper farm this time! Granted it's only 3 acres, but it's cleared and flat and the barn is HUGE!

Hi and welcome back to BYC and thanks for the intro and photos. I too have a soft spot for GSDs - I used to have two myself. Hope all the plans go well this coming spring!

Best wishes

Best wishes to you and your farm!

Welcome Back to BYC - we saved a spot on the roost for you. I love the tiny pig - will it get big or is it one of the very small breeds?

Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.

Pretty Shepherds. I'm partial to them myself, even not being much of a dog person, but you gotta watch em around the chickens. They like to get after em and it takes a while to train em out of it.
