Your chicks are darling! Our chicks loved their roost too. When they were a few weeks old, we added a small oak limb (about 4" in diameter). They loved getting up on it, all in a row. They are birds, after all!

I would make a little "jungle gym" for my chicks. I took scrap 2x4 and small branch, and first laid a 10" length on the shavings. I would gradually add legs to the 2x4, raising it 2", then 4", etc. I had a couple of these in the porch storage tote I kept as a brooder. They loved climbing as high as they could. They would even use our arms if given a chance!

I think our brooder is a little small right now. But when we move the babies to larger quarters I'm all over the jungle gym idea!
