a "seriously" "really" rant

What i hate is when you are talking and the other person is trying to finish what you are saying. also when people say "this, that and the other"

Oh and who ever posted they didn't like "it is what it is" sorry i live by that one. may be i should change my title...

I used to work at a Phosphate mine and our Boss hired a new employee, he always had a good story to counteract the one you just told. and it was with everyone he came in contact with, which by the way was every one at the mine cause he worked as the gate person. Anyhow he would always start his story with " Well It could be worse..." and then would proceed to tell you one of the biggest lies on earth. My favorite one was that he was offered a job that would pay him 80k per year just to sit and watch a gate all day long near toronto Ontario, but wasn't sure if he wanted the job. the job he currently had paid him 12 bucks an hour. In town this guy is known as the "could be worse guy" instead of his name which is Jon.

that saying really bothers me now after having worked with him for 3 yrs. and having my office next to the gatehouse, which was the ERT/First Aid treatment Station. Because he never did any of his actual work and he worked 4 shifts of 12 hours almost every week he spent the whole time bugging me. Sometimes I would go as far as asking him if needed to be rescued or treated for anything, and if not he needed to go back to his station. Drive me insane. I finally had enough when I went to do the Ambulance Inventory and to test emergency equipment and saw him in the back of the ambulance messing around with the Oxygen tanks, he told me he didn't think I would mind if he helped me do my JOB, which was by the way a health and safety issue and he wa snot even trained. When I realized he had emptied an Oxygen tank by leaving it open and had thrown out 3 bottles of eye wash fluid (because apparantly had no clue how to read the actual date on it

) I reported him and he got fired. If I hadn't seen him there that day I could have lost my job if an emergency had taken place. Anyhow I felt bad, sort of....and it took everything in me not to look at him and say...It could be worse...

I have not worked there since the birth fo my youngest son who is almost 3, to this day he is still sending me FB friend requests.....

I hear all the little kids say "Whatda...?" every few minutes. I've gotten used to it, now it's kinda cute. How often do you hear (not read) someone exclaim "Owe-Em-Jee"?

And you know you are in Utah when you here "Oh my heck!"

My response would be, "The correct answer is yes (mam/sir) with no inappropriate body language (the finger/ eye rolls). Every infraction cost you $5."

Just think of how much money you can get.

I absolutely refuse the "OMG" thing. It's one of the ten commandments to not use the Lord's name for anything other than true petitions or prayer.
