A Sick Flock, or Coincidence....advice on what's wrong?

I would agree with the above. With out knowing any other symptoms from what you describe I would guess you are dealing with sometype of enternal viral or bacterial disease also could be worms as mentioned but there is know way for sure to tell without all the proper test by a vet.

I hope no one took my previous post as discouraging from a necropsy, just wanted to make sure they prepared themselves for the worst.

Actually your post was a good thing, it opened up the discussion on why a necropsy and fecals are beneficial to the flock. Avoiding the possible can only lead to grief for the entire flock by burying our heads in the sand.

Recently there was a very nice young man who lost his entire flock to MG. Some might remember his age but I think he was 16. He did the responsible thing for his flock and others who might end up with his birds and had the flock tested. The entire flock was destroyed but had he not and sold eggs or birds to others it would have spread to other parts of the country. I think he set a fine example for us adults to not ignore the problem and potentially cause grief for other flocks.

I have lost a couple too and havent added any new ones they seem to get off kilter like they are drunk and they eat and drink but just dont seem right i thought about worms but no signs of that. i really was posting to find out about the egg binding what exactly is that and how do they act? i am sorry i hate losing any too since i take care of them i hate to loose any animals.
