A strange egg

I found this egg the other day when collecting eggs. It is tiny and the fragile shell had a hole. Inside is what looks like an embryo. The pictures aren't great but best I can do. What appears to be a blood spot in the pics doesn't look like it really. Appears to be an embryo body, head and red thing where a beak would be.
It appears that a cell was fertilized and not packaged and released immediately, developed internally, then expelled or maybe more like excreted as a defect.
In my 16 months of chicken raising I've had two sex reverse hens so it won't surprise me if this is a "thing" too. What "thing"?
TIA

Wow! Thanks for the link. Very helpful.
I expect it doesn't matter - this little egg had no yolk at all. The "embryo" is white not yellow; the yellow being an artifact from the poor quality camera.
Makes sense that a meat spot might be excreted like this. An embryo should have some yolk - somewhere.
