A suggestion for easier navigation in a topic

I wonder if it is easily possible to add a place to manually enter a page on a topic so that a person could navigate back several pages rather than having to multiple click through the page numbers. This would be useful when trying to find out something that a person remembers from a previous day in some of the multi-page topics.

You can already do this... just a little more tricky that what you suggest.

For example, say you're here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=272473&p=8

You see p=8 ? That's page = 8

just replace with the page you want to go to:

https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=272473&p=4
