Took the geese down to the creek today for a swim, twice. The Chinese boy is SO noisy, so I've been trying to work his brain out and keep them entertained.
It's really cute how I can call them with "Come on goose-goose" and in saying that he starts following me, where ever I'm going. She follows him.
It was all fun and games until we're in the creek and he swims up on me and starts wrapping his neck around my leg and trying to be coy. Then he started to nibble and I knew a bite was coming. I grabbed his head and directed him elsewhere while I climbed out of the creek. Once I was over the rise in ground he couldn't see me so I stalked off to work in the garden while leaving them down there.
When I went back to check on them he saw me and they came out, following me. I went back over to the garden and husband wanted to talk about our bug screen plan, but the gander started his mouth up and he was standing right by me and we couldn't talk with him carrying on like that. So I said "Come on goose-goose" and I marched them back "home" and put them up for a nap.
In the afternoon I went back and got the geese back out, marched them back down to the creek. Hid from them and left them for a little while. Went back, called them up, tried to get them to graze the back field. Gander and I started yelling at each other, they got excited and took off with a bunch of wing flapping, over to a boggy area.
He came trolling back around by the garden where we were working, looking at me with the single eyed look. Took them back over to their pen and offered some cracked corn.
There they sat for the rest of the evening, when we went back out to lock everyone up, they were already in bed. Tired geese!
