I don't know what it is about chickens and cats. Our neighbor has 2 outdoor cats. Other neighbor has a cat. And there are 2 others that wander in to the yard now and again. Plus I used to have a cat that was outdoors all day. Not one of them has every bothered the chickens that I know of.
