I'm ok just heart broken right now. He was a birthday present last year. Although we didn't find a kitten until after my birthday. My daughter is taking it hard to (15yrold)

Well this evening we found our not quite a year old cat stuck in a tree by the neighbors house in the wood. We found a few friends who had climbing gear to go up and get him. We took him to a vet and it was to late. He was stuck so Ling his muscles in his back legs dies. We had to put him to sleep.

His hind legs were hanging all day we suspect. We are thinking a coyote chased him up there. This sucks...

So sorry for your loss. Just wanted to come and say this looks more like a bird of prey picked him up briefly but couldn't take the weight and dropped him in the tree. Eagles and some types of hawks can very easily lift cats. Did he have any other injuries? Poor kitty. Just mentioning this so you can keep an eye out for your other cats.

No other injuries, I checked our trail camera. There are pictures of the neighbors dogs. And he was close to that neighbors house. Not many if any eagles here (haven't seen any) hawks yes but we have seen only smaller ones.
