I saw 2 mallard ducks in front of my yard. I decided it’ll be fun to introduce my Rouen duck to them. They got along pretty well until I got closer then they flew away. The next day I still see the duck outside of my front yard. But it’s only the female one there. The green head took off. I’m wondering why the single duck is still there in my yard. Anyone know why it would still be here in my yard? FYI my duck is the darker one

Awwww. My two wild Mallards are currently in the back by their kiddie pool. They eat right out of my hand and follow me all around the yard. Their names are Donald and Daisy. Once they came at 6am, stayed until 12 to take a walk and get more food, came back at 4:30, ant stayed until about 7-8.

Here's a bit from my pwp about drakes

Hens will mate with the same drake, but drakes will mate with multiple hens a year. The drake will stay with the hen until makes her nest.

Do you maybe think the wild mallard duck is going to make a nest in my yard?
