A yellow tabby she-cat stumbled over sand dunes. Why her tribe deserted her. A gale blew into her face, causing little Sandy shrapnel to blow in her eyes. Her 3rd eyelid was already up, but now she traveled blind, using her whiskers. A sandy crust had formed at the corner of each eye. She raised her voice above the wind, but all that came out was a croaking "help," as though she were in a dream. She desperately needed water. If only it were a dream, she thought. She couldn't go on. The sun beat down on her golden fur. She lay down for what she thought was the last sleep of her life.
But when she awoke, she was greeted by concerned eyes. A wild cat, with big green eyes and brown grizzled fur. He licked her forehead with a sandpaper tongue. He said his name was Claw. "What is your name?" He asked.
"Thorn," she whispered. Her throat felt like it was filled with sand. In the background she saw many sand cats, wild cats and domestic cats. The domestic cats that struck her the most were an old yellow tabby she-cat lying on the sand some paces away. She looked wise and had brilliant green eyes like Thorn herself. Also, at the edge of a dune, two red tabby tom cats with green eyes stood. She would find they were Flame and Crimson, brothers of different litters separated by years, Flame being the eldest. She would find out Crimson was slightly evil, and that Flame was the mate of the mysterious she cat in her own time.
A sand cat drifted towards her, dragging a lizard. "Eat," she commanded. Thorn ate. The lizard was chewy, but it gave her the strength she needed, as Thorn realized how hungry she was. She tried to dispose of it but the sand cat pawed it back to her. "Drink the blood. It will provide you water, even though it is salty. It is rare to come upon an oasis. The blood of prey will stave your thirst. " Thorn did as she was told, and disposed of all she thought she knew of the desert. After all she was with a new tribe, a new world. When you begin to journey with her, you should too, I think.
Limitations: tribe cats cannot read or write or fly or get married, but they can take mates from other tribes. Be realistic. They can talk, but can not understand the language of people or animals. The wild cats are all like a grizzled or faint stripe or spot color. Google it. The domestic cats in the tribe are all tabby of any variety, but new cats can be other colors. Domestic cats and wild cats can intermix. Sand cats, however, can only mate sand cats. Sand cats are half the size of normal cats. They are really cute and look like kittens. Google it. You'll be happy you did. They appear to have yellow eyes or green eyes, buffy or white chests, and black or buffy stripes. Any albinos or melanistics are welcome, just not too many. If there are too many I will put a limit on them. NO TWO PART NAMES. HUMAN NAMES ARE FINE BECAUSE OF HUMAN INFLUENCE.
Ranks: in tribes there are no ranks, with a few exceptions, this tribe, Thunderer tribe, is not an exception to this rule. (Most tribes with a leader have a very dictating leader.)They catch their own prey, they don't share it in a prey pile, but put she-cats and kits, old cats and weak cats first. They are very welcoming and let house cats or cats from other tribes in. There is NO SUCH THING as 'true tribal blood.' Tribal cats never tease each other for how they look or where they came from. They look for character and skill. Kits start to catch prey at 6 moons or months, but are still provided food by their mother until they are 8 moons. There are no medicine cats. Decisions are made as a group. Sand cats always seem to have authority. They made this tribe.
Kits and Queens: Kits are cats who are kittens. They need milk until they are 2 moons old, and then still drink milk, but mostly eat prey until they are 3 moons. Then it's an all prey diet. Queens are expecting mother's or mother's of kits less than 4 moons old. They are pregnant for two moons. Queens and kits only exist in the wet season, when there is water so they don't die.It is the dry season, so the youngest cat is 4 moons old. Kits are not named anything until they open their eyes and even then some queens wait to name their kits. They are always named by their mother. Sometimes with their father's consent. They are usually never very close to their father, but the queen is and depends on him.
Food and water: Small rodents if they can get it, but in the dry season it is mostly lizards. They will eat food provided by man. They get their hydration from prey, unless on rare occasion they come upon a river, stream, oasis, Stillwater, or Man's water. They will never come upon Man's cities so they only get food or water from Travelers, but they don't dare go near Travelers, because Travelers are dangerous. Stillwater is water in a ravine. It is still. At any moment water could flood them and drown you. The visits to Stillwaters are brief because of this. Rivers also can be dangerous if they flood. It rarely rains in the dry season, but when it does, it is dangerous. Cats try drink water any chance they get.
Geography: the edge of the Saharah desert. In the African Savannah. The Sahara is mostly rocky and dry. There are some sand dunes however. Plant life is little. Broom trees (scrubby shrubs) lie along the hills, shade. Acacia are good shade too. It is hot. Sometimes, on the hottest of days, cats lie under rocky outcrops during the day and travel at night. Usually the cats are found in the plains, however. There is grass, rodents and acacia trees. Savannah animals are found there. Cats often drink out of the Nile. The sand cats are better suited to the desert than the other cats.
Mates: cats take mates from other tribes, not their own. Cats travel to other tribes to find a suitable mate, they decide on it together and that's that. Male cats travel to other tribes normally, but sometimes it is the female cats. Tribal cats are devoted to each other for life whether they like it or not.
Man: Man is the cats' name for men. Woman is the name they use for women. They respect Man and Woman, but are wary of them, especially Travelers. Travelers can kill and eat cats. They can also use cat pelts. Tourists are different from Travelers. They come to the reserves to look at animals. You can tell if it is a Traveler or a Tourist, unless you are a kit. Man is used collectively for people. The Thunderer Tribe does not come within a mile of a man city, but they do go past the villages of indigenous peoples. House cats come from the houses of Man.
Thunderers: Thuderers are elephants. There is something magical about them, so the cats of Thunderer Tribe follow them, studying their migration patterns. They want to know where Thunderers go.
If you have any questions please ask. I need to make this role play clear for everyone.

Can someone do Claw, Flame and the yellow she-cat that you can name? Plus the gruff little sand cat. PLUS Falcon's mate. I need at least 10 charries before I can start the RP. Can someone make a member page?
Nobody better copy this rp cause I worked hard on it! Also, this is my first rp, so give me some critique. Reserved name: Amethyst. I probably won't use them, but you never know.
