The tom hissed, "You're not accepted here. Go." he growled.
"Dad! You know this cat?" Chipmunk asked, his fur fluffed up.
"Yes," the tom hesitated, the continued, "She isn't allowed here."
"You've already said that. Why isn't she allowed here?" Chipmunk asked, perplexed.

Pebble slowly crept backwards, her fur bristling. What does he mean, I'm not accepted here? Does Thunderer Tribe have a feud with their tribe?

"She was rejected." growled the older tom.
Chipmunk sighed, starting to get irritated by his father's vagueness. "What do you mean?"
The tom sighed, "She was rejected by your mother and me when we realized she was blind." he explained to the horrified Chipmunk, "She's your sister."
"What!" Chipmunk cried, "She-she's my sister?! Why would you... when-"
"It doesn't matter," the tom snarled, "The only thing that matters is that she is weak, and we rejected her." the tom started to walk away, his tail swaying, as if he knew that Chipmunk would follow him.

Pebble listened in silence, her ears flat against her head and her fur bristling. So this is my father. The father who abandoned me. she thought numbly, her face set in a snarl.

Chipmunk blinked after his father, and he started to follow him, then he glanced at Pebble. She's my sister.... I can't abandon her like my parents did. He slowly approached her, making sure she could hear him, but not in a threatening way. He stopped in front of her, and hesitantly reached forward and nuzzled her cheek. Pebble pulled away, her tailing whipping back and forth. "Go." she growled.
Chipmunk backed away, blinking in confusion. He put his head down. "Why? What did I do to you?" He asked, looking up at her pleadingly, even though she couldn't see him.

"I don't need you." Pebble hissed coldly, "I already have a family, a tribe."

"That doesn't mean you have to reject me!" Chipmunk said, sounding hurt. "It wasn't my fault that our parents didn't want you!" Right after he said it, Chipmunk instantly regretted it.

Pebble's eyes narrowed to slits, though they still weren't on Chipmunk's face. "Go. I don't want to see you, or anyone else in my.. Family ever again." She growled, and started to stalk away.

Chipmunk stared after her helplessly. What have I done?

Willow sighed. "It's not your fault, Crimson." She turned her head and looked at him with watery eyes.
Crimson wanted to believe her, but he couldn't. He lay down next to her, in considering the prospect of telling her. Telling her it. Telling her the truth. Telling her something only the Thunderers have ever heard. Telling her something he had kept for so long it didn't feel like a lie anymore. It became the truth. Something he couldn't tell himself. Something he had buried for years. His brain was like a pit covered by sand. But unknowingly Willow was digging, digging, digging. The truth had a name. It's name was the bad thing that goes with melodious thunder. It is dangerously beautiful. It's name is Lightning.

Willow blinked the water from her eyes and nudged Crimson with her shoulder. She saw he was just staring "into space". "Is there something wrong....?"

"pebble?" Dart called coming in on the two cats. He stiffened taking in the unfamiliar scent of the young tom. "Who are you?" He asked, confusion clouded his gaze.

Crimson thought is it possible that Willow could fall into the pit if she dug enough. I'm vulnerable to her...
