~A Wisp of Sand~ a a desert cat tribe rp

So were my charries except Adish. He bounced up and down. "I think the jungle is only a few miles away, I can smell it!" He cried.
"Don't get your hopes up," replied Iris. She wasn't feeling like a undeniable optimist, but in no way was she a pessimist. She could feel it too.
"I can smell it, too Iris," said Papyrus. It was that gut feeling, it wasn't an actual smell. "We'll get to the jungle before the night is out." They had decided to complete their trip by only traveling at night.
Thorn flicked her tail irately, she couldn't feel anything. But the sky peppered with pinpoints of light. It made her feel better. She smiled at Claw (@RiverStorm) "it's beautiful," she breathed.
Shiloh felt a familiar twinge about the rocky landscape. They entered a deep valley. "We are getting close," he whispered. "I remember this. But what they found huddled behind a rock surprised everyone. Nile quivered as her heart quicked. "She isn't..." she couldn't go on.
Lion curled himself around his sister, his shaggy pelt hanging loosely. He would comfort her. She felt his warmth envelope her.
Night whispered "she isn't! Is that your...." Crimson remained silent.
Oleander turned toward them, looking more like a scrap of fur than the beautiful cat she had been. Her skin hung loosely from her bones, her muscles were shriveled. "Lion, Nile?" She whispered.
Pebble sniffed the air, "What is it?" She mewed.
"I think it's a new cat," Chipmunk whispered.
"I know that, rock-head." Pebble growled playfully, bopping his head with sheathed claws.

Flame stepped forward. "Who are you?" He asked, tilting his head at her quizzically. "What are you doing here?"

"Oleander," she croaked as a new tom scent washed over them.
"And I've been keeping her alive," said a slightly yowly tone. An equally thin looking cat, but much healthier. It was Dire.
"Dire!" Cried Lion.

"You know these cats?" Flame questioned, his tail tip flicking back and forth. If these cats were from SnappingRiver Tribe...

"They're from my Tribe," said Nile. She flicked her tail at the insignificant scrap of fur. "That's my mother, Oleander," she explained, Shiloh recognised her.
"What happened to you?" Lion asked Oleander.
Nile then gestured at Dire "And that's Dire." The once handsome tom nodded. He noticed that Nile had become the size her mother was and just as beautiful. And Lion had become enormous. Shiloh recognised the name, but hadn't seen Dire before.

Mongoose flicked her torn ears, hurrying over the cold sands to where the knot of tribe mates gathered. She had been hunting, but upon seeing the starving visitors, she let the snake in her jaws fall to the ground unheeded. "Oleander, dire!" She cried. ~~~ dart chased after pebble and chipmunk. "Wait for me!" He wheezed, dragging his tail in exhaustion.

Recognition crossed Oleander's sunken face as she saw her old friend, Mongoose. "Mongoose!" She cried. As Mongoose arrived, they touched noses in greeting.
"And who is this young fellow?" asked Dire casually, gesturing to the sprinting fluffy grey tom.

"I knew you'd come," Oleander said gratefully to Shiloh.
"Now that she isn't worrying her head off, maybe she'll eat more," said Dire.

Pebble turned around, hearing his voice, and smirked. "You need to grow into your tail, that's all." she said, trying hard not to laugh.
