~A Wisp of Sand~ a a desert cat tribe rp

River frowned "Sun sickness has got a grip on him,"
~
Claw scrambled after her, and ducked into the hole
Blue opened his eyes, looking blankly at his two littermates muttering something to himself. Mongoose could be heard grumbling about the noise from her sand dip.

Blue suddenly blinked his eyes, as if he were just now awake.
"who are you again?" he narrowed his eyes at his siblings. Very familiar..why is my brain so stubborn? he thought in frustration, grasping at the elusive trails of thought that flitted in and out of his mind.

Night lowered his nose in greeting. That was a gesture to sniff. A cat, who even forgotten a face must be able to recognize a scent, right? "Brother," said Night.

"I am River." River said cocking her head at him

"Huh? Is that why you're heading straight towards the prey-pile?" Rocket asked, circling Heron. Before he could respond, she continued, "You can't just walk up and take something. See those guards there? They'll pounce on you before you've even had a chance. Trust me, though they do look bored, they're not stupid. I tried once... and let's just say that didn't end well." she locked eyes with him. "Your foolish plans of defeating Cobra will never work, we have to leave Snapping-River Tribe! It's the only way." she paused, gazing at her son. "No matter what Dire or the others say."

Huckleberry prodded her. "What's wrong?" he sniffed the air curiously.
Heron sighed. He knew that she was right. He was young and foolish and he wasn't the first one to think up a rebellion.
"I understand," he replied reluctantly. There was no point in lying.

Sun stretched out on the cool leaves near the waterside. Here, it was easy to imagine high trees towering above her if she closed her eyes, although the usual chatter of birdsong (which, @AMERAUCANAS4REAL, are certainly not macaws! :D) was absent. Her belly now full of water and her thirst quenched, she felt more at ease as her adopted Tribe began to drink too. Now, they had hope. They weren't there yet, but they had hope.

(Good to hear!)
