Aaaack! Need quick advice!

[I have WHAT in my yard?]

My 9 year old was invited by a classmate's mother to go to the movies.

Since they invited her does that mean they expect to pay or should I assume she is to pay for herself?? Should I give her the money or hand it to the mom? Should I offer it to the mom and hope like the dickens she'll turn it down?

What is the protocol here?

The mom will probably pay, but give your dd some cash just in case!

I always send my kids with enough money to cover it. That way there is no awkwardness. If the other mother intended to pay, they just bring the money home with them and we reciprocate another time.
