ABA Standard for Marans

Krys,
Do you live in the US? Are you the same person from the Buff Orp group?
If yes, how did you get eggs from a girl in Beluim to the US or did you bring them into the US?

Krys is in the UK. That's why her user name says UK on it.

ETA: I should say "is or was". I don't actually know whether Krys is still there or not.

Thank you for your concern Ione. I was asking her or do you speak for her? The Krys I am thinking of use to live in the UK and now lives in the US.
If we went by peoples user name then you would be a Doctor in the Amazon.

Never mind I found it. This is a post from the Orp group:

Best regards,

So I guess Krys is in the US.....now.

This is a discussion forum, Steve. People get to discuss things, whether or not you directy address questions to them.

And as it happens -- it's not a doctor IN the Amazon. It's a doctor OF Amazons. I did a good deal of graduate research on Amazon parrots.

Sandspoultry....that was a bit mean. I'm sure Amazondoc was just trying to help.

I had the birds in UK. I no longer have them.

BTW I have used the 109uk after my name for very many years, since long before leaving UK. The Yahoo Groups thing presumably already had someone just called krys. At that time it was the last three digits of my phone number & where I lived.

Hello Krys -
Sorry for the Texas inside humor. The MetroMess was my term for the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (hence MetroMess if you've ever driven through parts of it). The feathered ones and I live on the outskirts of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Crowing isn't tolerated too well in the heart of the urban fabric.

Sam

Hey, I just now noticed this part of your comment. Dang, I'd LOVE to get hold of a Marans carrying mo! I'm a big fan of mille fleur -- and the one gene that seems to be missing in the breed that we would have to have in order to create mf is mo.........
