Maybe soak it in water?I'm not quite sure how to get the little guy to eat, I scattered some mazuri starter pellets across the floor and he picked one up, but just dropped it right after
I'll try but its mazuri so they floatMaybe soak it in water?
They do get swollen and sink eventually. Maybe if you pulverized some they would absorb water faster. Kind of.... Make him baby food? Do you have a blender? He's probably not used to eating dry food.I'll try but its mazuri so they float

gush gush gush I just love him!Making it into little baby food helped him eat a little bit, but he isn't all that interested in it
I used Mazuri waterfowl starter with my recent batch of ducklings, wetting it down in the beginning the way you have it. Mine also didn't seem terribly hungry for it at first, taking only little bites every now and again. They adjusted and ate a little more, but as long as it was wet they didn't seem to eat nearly as much as my first batch of ducklings ate when they were on regular chick starter. They ate even more once I could feed it dry, but still didn't seem like as much as the other ducklings ate with the standard starter. I would like to believe that maybe this is because the Mazuri starter has higher quality protein and more nutrients in it, so they didn't need to eat as much to get their nutritional needs met. Hopefully Gizmo's appetite will fire up soon. What a cutie!Making it into little baby food helped him eat a little bit, but he isn't all that interested in it
Yay!!I set up a big ol 4x2 rabbit cage for little Gizmo, I found out that even though it has 1" bar spacing he can still escape it easily, so I'm setting up a bunch of zip ties making all of the bar spacing smaller while he's chilling in the cage. He doesn't mind being in there as long as I am in sight, but when I walk out of sight he starts peeping. I put some mushed up wet duck baby food in one bowl, and put some of it dry in my blender to turn it into crumble, and put a bowl of that in there for him as well. Now he is eating from both bowls, he likes to sit in the bowl while eating and happily chirping away.
