Abandoned ducks

I went through a similar situation when my neighbors dumped Pekings in my pond and moved. We had to rescue them from the middle of the pond when it was frozen b4 preditors got them. We put a coop by the shoreline and fed them there. I witless whistle whenever I had food so they came every time. Once they realized they were safe in there coop at night, I had no problems. I would tell them to go to bed, they'd lay down and I'd let them out in the morning .

Any updates on your feathery friends? I'm in Michigan too. My ducks don't like the cold a bit! Hopefully the abandoned ducks are ok!

The coyotes have been really bad here since its mating season....with everything frozen I'm a bit worried about the little guys. Another thing, a hawk dove down into my coop the other day. My rooster was screaming and good thing I was out there to go and chase it off. Hopefully your little feathery friends are ok! Thank you for caring for these little ducks! You are doing the right thing!
