Victory!!! We got them with a ladder after they roosted up a tree. Now to squeeze them into our existing space until we can sort something better for them. Theg will temain as separate as they can be from our flock while also safe from our dogs.

Any luck? If you keep an eye where they roost then catch them when they are asleep after dark, it will be easier.... Providing you can climb up there!

Goodness me they're noisy! :O Hope we don't get any complaints. They're in our quarantine coop for now, in the main chickery. Our existing roo is marching up and down past them regularly, lol. We should be able to build an extra space for them at the weekend so we can keep the two roos separate for now and these guys can have some more space.

The barn ladies that we re-homed at the weekend must be wondering what on earth they've got themselves into!

I didn't have time this morn and only got some in the dark last night but I will take some tonight! I'm pretty sure they Australorps but I read that those are normally quiet, so who knows?!

Interesting, thanks. They have lost a fair bit of weight in the two weeks or so they've been abandoned. Any idea what they might be? The cockerel has s very high pitched, screechy crow!
