I've been keeping an eye on a goose that has dealt with regular harassment from the neighborhood kids. Today she dissapeared and many hours later is nowhere to be found. I spent most of the day keeping the kids away. Do they have any chance of hatching at this point? I have them wrapped in a towel in a plastic storage bin that's sitting on a heating pad right now.I wasn't sure what else I could do without an incubator.
My concern is, why did she leave the eggs? I'm not sure if she did because they were not going to survive or if the butt head kids stressed her out. They smell odd, I can only describe it as similar to a dirty bellybutton?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
