Maximus didn't scratch much either. I bet she has the same thing. If she does it is very easy to treat. I hope "you" get to keep her, that is if you want her. There are so many people that offer a good home and then some of those turn out to be no better than she was.....

Could it be scabies? When I adopted my pups from the pound their bellies looked just like that, and my vet said they had scabies. I agree.. Daisy it fits her...she is adorable.

if by chance you have any Panalog or Animax ointment (veterinary med for skin)...or if you can get some..it might help..it treats both bacterial and fungal conditions ..sometimes caused by fleas..

Yes, Sarcoptic mange is scabies and can be transferred to humans. I hope this is not it. dangerouschicken, why do you think it's sarcoptic?

I don't have medicated anything except for poision ivy!

I will guess from the circular hair lose pattern That it may be a fungus we call ringworm. It is very curable if that is what it is. We use iodine shampoo baths. And it can be contagious so do keep her isolated. Good luck she is real cute.

It looks like Sarcoptic mange. I have seen it MANY times in my former neighbor's dogs and puppies. Keep her isolated until she is seen by a vet.

She does have beautiful eyes. I think she looks like a chocolate lab too!

I think they treat sarcoptic mange with Ivermectin now..

My husband rescued 2 puppies he found near where he was doing some work..
and the puppies had sarcoptic mange..(along with lots of other "creepy crawlies")
I took them to a vet and got the treatment..then it was a dip solution that had to be done like every other day for 4 or 6 weeks..
anyway..that was 14 years ago..
and I still have the puppies..LOL
