Being involved with rescue, I've had to deal with both demodectic mange and ringworm.
The other folks are correct; ringworm is a fungus and is highly contagious but very treatable. Do be sure to take precautions for yourself and whoever else may handle the puppy - wash your hands and change your clothes - just to be on the safe side.
I've met folks who have been in contact with ringworm, including myself, and have never caught it, but you still need to be careful just in case.
And I'd guess this baby is a lab mix and she's gorgeous. I'm so glad you saved her! I can't print on line what my opinion is of people who do things like this to animals.
