ABANDONED PUPPY - **UPDATE**

Cranium excrements that would dump a puppy! :thun

Because of the blocky head, I would almost say a Rottie/Lab mix especially with her colour.
Doesn't matter though...
10,000 Good karma points for taking Daisy in.

I would definitely lay bets that little has demodectic mange, probably passed to her in utero.
Please follow the vet's recommendations for treatment, and DO NOT use motor oil! This does not work and is toxic to animals, especially puppies.
Definitely work, though I would not suggest ivermectin for a pup so young. My preference would be panacur or wormex.
Take care and join the pick-up puppy club (I have adopted one that was found on the side of the road in a huge mud puddle!)
best wishes and keep us updated!

Well, it’s not mange, it’s a fungus. The results of what kind of fungus will take a few days. My vet put her on an oral anti-fungal and antibiotics. This fungus could possibly be contagious, so she still isolated from the other dogs. It is treatable – so hopefully in a couple of weeks she’ll be looking and feeling better.

They gave her a medicated bath and she had her first round of puppy shots. She’s feeling very frumpy and just wants to sleep.

aww!..poor baby..every time i go back to see her picture..i wanna bawl..

I'll never understand how a person can dump an animal. It's simply beyond me.

me too.

Thank you for taking her in. She looks like a sweetheart. I would guess ringworm. She looks like a lab or lab mix. Very cute.

bless you!

I adopted a cat from petsmart couple years ago. A few days after I brought it home it had places come up just like that on it face. I took it to the vet and they said it was ringworm. So I had to treat it and keep it in the guestroom away from our other cats. Come to find out my mom called to complain and they said the brother to our cat that they adopted out to someone else brought their cat back because it had ringworm too. Hope your puppy gets better quick it sure is a cutie.

I'm thinking it's ringworms too. Thanks for the well wishes - I hope she turns out to be a great dog!

I thought it was a fungus. I will have to say that when my puppy had it he was around all of my other dogs and none of them caught it from him.But I would still keep her isolated. She will fell bad after they give her bath, along with the shots. Poor baby. Atleast she is not lonely or hunger. You are a blessing.....
