Abnormal eggs are normal, right?

I've got two black sex link and two easter eggers. The sex links have been laying about a month, the EE about 2 weeks. Yesterday I got no eggs, and then today I got four first thing in the morning. I figure that's totally normal. Then last night I just happened to go out and check on my new chick, and noticed an odd looking egg on top of the hen house (where the big girls roost). I went and got it and it's like she didn't finish the shell, it's soft and almost like thin leather or something. This is normal for girls just starting to lay, right?? And I have nothing to worry about, RIGHT???

It is quite normal, I have 11 pullets myself and I've had several soft eggs when they first started to lay, they are laying normally now.

I haven't eaten one myself, but I do cook them up for the birds. They are fine, just won't keep.

The soft shelled one? I wouldn't, but I guess that's just me.
