We recently hatched out some button quail chicks and all is going fairly well. One of the chicks has some interesting wing growth and I was wondering if it's some kind of deformity? If so is it genetic or a result of imperfect incubation/brooding conditions? Will self correct as the chick ages. We're not worried about it since these are pet birds and not breeding stock so as long as the bird is happy we are.

The primary flight feathers seem to be sticking out instead of tucking underneath his secondary feathers like the rest of his siblings. Does anyone have any experience with this?

His sibling's normal wings:

It's just a particular phase in it's growth. I've had plenty that I thought, if he grows into it's wings he'll be huge. :lau I don't know what causes it or if there is a cause?
Just a particular birds growth rate...nothing to worry about.
