About 95% roosters.

The chicks are about 4 to 6 weeks old now. I didn't realize that it would be a good idea to keep records, so I am not quite sure how old they are.

I'll post pictures later today.

You don't say whether he listed them as pullets or straight run. That is what you need to ask for in the future. You still may get an occasional roo. Hopefully they will be your laying hens.

Mine all had bumps, and one of my girls had a very red comb, too. A better indicator, at least in my very small batch of chicks was the shape of their bodies. The roo had a longer neck/legs, more of an upright rectangle shape, whereas the girls bodies were longer, with a more sideways rectangle shape. It would have taken a real scoundrel to sell you all cocks on purpose. Seems just too unlikely. Keep up hope!

At 4-6 weeks, I noticed the feathering was a lot different. The cockerels "wingbows" were bare and the pullets were more feathered on the back.

Good luck... it is still a bit early to get disappointed.

I have a couple pullets with nice sized spurs. They are not form a hatchery either. If you can get some picture we can help you sort them out.

Some breeds at that age(if they are males) will start to get combs and wattles.

Here are pictures of three of the chicks.

I also need to know what breed the gray and white striped chicks are.

well I can tell the grey with white is a roo (I believe he is a BR) because he has a big comb. And the one with white and red (I believe is a RIR) might be a pullet
