? About Hardware Cloth?

I have a big predator problem. All of my coops have runs that are 100% covered with 1/2" galvanized hardware cloth. I use corrugated polycarbonate roofing and have had no predator issues. I leave all my pop doors open at night .

The first run I Ur... I mean US or WE used cattle panels covered with hdwe staked with T posts. Great.. But made the mistake of using 2 inch poultry wire rest of way and roofed over.. I ordered the p wire over phone so I did not vusulise it well...bought it in rolls of 6 foot by 150 ft rolls. special ordered it. Lot cheaper than smaller rolls.
Other run used hdwe cloth most of way then 1' pw....all over heavy 2 dog kennels together,All works fine but unfortuntely does not keep out those tiny food stealing wild birds. not worried about nites cause My chickens are locked in securely.....
Hope to do this year partly cover roof of 1st run with a solid roof...
