About how old should my rooster start crowing?

He/she is almost 12 weeks. I'm up in the air if one of my EE's is a pullet or a roo I'm just waiting it out.

Mine started around 4 months old, they were ameraucana's.

One of mine started crowing at about 15 weeks. The other never did start... and never will because they both went to freezer camp last week.They were both about 17 weeks old and getting aggressive...

Mine (BR's) are right at 3 months old, born March25th, and I heard one attempt to crow this morning. Pitiful compared to the big boys, but it's a start! LOL

My Buff Orpington roo started crowing at exactly 3 months

My Silver Laced Polish is almost 14 weeks and trying to crow. Sounds like a teenager going through puberty. Thought he was a hen until I heard some curious noises from the coop and the BYC forum helped me with his gender.

My bearded Belgian d'Anver cockerel began crowing at 10 weeks. -started out hilarious, and became a decent crow after about a week. Now, he's spot on (12 weeks) with a fabulous crow every morning at 6:00 AM (give or take five minutes). My Old English Game bantam began crowing about a week later (11/12) weeks. He is still perfecting his crow. It's a hoot to hear them alternate crows first thing in the morning!

Then I should start hearing that beautiful sound in about 2 weeks from my bantam and white Plymouth rock

Oooooh.....I need to revise my earlier answer....now I have 7 week olds that are starting to crow.....!!! Most pathetic sound ever!!
